Is the Pokemon GO Sprigatito Community Day worth playing from a PvP and PvE perspective?

Sprigatito's final evolution Meowscarada is a strong Grass-type, but its stats from the main series do not translate very well into Pokemon GO. While it hits hard, it cannot keep up with powerful Mega Evolutions and Legendaries as a raid attacker. In PvP, it lacks the bulk to be a reliable pick, where critters like Serperior or Venusaur outclass it by a mile.

Meowscarada is a powerful pick, and you should aim to add it to your collection during the January 2025 Community Day event. Is Frenzy Plant a good move in Pokemon GO?

Frenzy Plant in itself is one of the best moves in Pokemon GO. It deals a massive 100 damage with a 2.5-second-long cooldown in PvE battles and 100 damage for 45 energy in PvP. This is boosted by STAB, since only Grass-type starters can use this Charged Attack.

What holds Frenzy Plant back slightly is the move's type matchups. Grass only hits Ground, Rock, and Water for super-effective damage. On the other hand, it is resisted by Bug, Dragon, Fire, Flying, Grass, Poison, and Steel. This balance between immense damage output and limited effectiveness makes sure the move isn't broken.
