There are three tasks available as part of the Pokemon GO Strength of Steel Collection Challenge, with the rewards focusing on Scizor, Aggron, and Steelix, respectively. The tasks involved require trainers to catch/evolve various Pokemon that are readily available in the ongoing event.
Ultra Unlock Part 2 Strength of Steel began on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 10 am local time. It is set to continue until Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 8 pm local time. Trainers can also participate in the Togedemaru Spotlight Hour on the ongoing event's final day, with the featured pocket monster's shiny variant finally arriving as part of Strength of Steel.

Heavy Metal - Strength of Steel Collection Challenge
- Catch Aron [wild spawn]
- Catch Aggron [evolution, raid]
- Catch Bronzor [wild spawn]
- Catch Bronzong [evolution]
- Rewards: 5000x Stardust, Aggron encounter, 100x Aggron Mega Energy
Chrome Catch - Strength of Steel Collection Challenge
- Catch Nosepass [wild spawn]
- Catch Togedemaru [wild spawn, raid, Field Research encounter, Timed Research encounter]
- Catch Skarmory [wild spawn, raid, Timed Research encounter]
- Catch Beldum [wild spawn]
- Rewards: 5000x Stardust, Scizor encounter, 100x Scizor Mega Energy
Ultra Unlock event was divided into three separate events. Part 1 debuted Tandemaus and Maushold in Pokemon GO, with the ongoing Part 2 marking the first appearance of Shiny Togedemaru in-game. Finally, Part 3 takes place on Saturday, July 27, 2024, and brings Mega Lucario into the mix.

With July 2024 wrapping up in less than a week, there's not much known about what awaits trainers in August 2024 except one. Mega Rayquaza Elite Raids will return once again in the first week of the next month.
