Pokemon GO Strength of Steel Field Research: Tasks and rewards

The Pokemon GO Strength of Steel Field Research provides trainers with Togedemaru, Klink, and Beldum encounters, along with Mega Energy for Steelix, Scizor, and Aggron. The tasks involved require them to catch, power up, and evolve Steel-type Pokemon.

Ultra Unlock Strength of Steel runs from Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 10 am local time to Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 8 pm local time. It is the second part of the Ultra Unlock series, with the first one seeing the debuts of Tandemaus and Maushold. The final and third part will mark the arrival of Mega Lucario on July 27, 2024.

All Pokemon GO Strength of Steel Field Research tasks and rewards

The event-themed Field Research tasks available during Pokemon GO Strength of Steel for players to complete are as follows:

• Catch 10 Steel-type Pokemon - Togedemaru encounter [shiny variant available]
• Catch 15 Steel-type Pokemon - Klink encounter [shiny variant available] or Beldum encounter [shiny variant available]
• Explore 2 km - Togedemaru encounter [shiny variant available]
• Power up Steel-type Pokemon 5 times - Togedemaru encounter [shiny variant available]
• Evolve 3 Steel-type Pokemon - 25x Mega Steelix Energy, 25x Mega Scizor Energy, or 25x Mega Aggron Energy

Shiny Togedemaru made its debut in Pokemon in the Ultra Unlock Strength of Steel event. The unique variant sports a light pink hide instead of the standard gray. The Roly-Poly Gen VII dual-type Electric/Steel Pokemon from Alola arrived in September 2022.

In Strength of Steel, Togedemaru is available as a wild spawn, in 1-star raids, as Field Research encounters, and Timed Research encounter.
