General tips to catch Shiny Ho-Oh in Pokemon GO

  1. Prepare your team: Ho-Oh is a Fire/Flying-type Pokemon, making it weak to Water, Electric, and Rock-type moves. Assemble a team of strong Pokemon with these move types to maximize your chances of defeating it in raids. Recommended Pokemon include Kyogre, Raikou, and Terrakion.
  2. Coordinate with other trainers: Five-star raids are challenging and often require a group effort. Coordinate with other trainers in your area to ensure you have enough participants to take down Ho-Oh. Use social media, local Discord groups, and in-game features to find raid partners.
  3. Stock up on Raid Passes: Make sure you have enough Raid Passes before heading out. You'll either need to get them from PokeStops or Gyms or buy some from the shop.
  4. Use Golden Razz Berries: To effectively catch Ho-Oh, ensure you have enough Golden Razz Berries. They greatly improve the catch rate of any Pokemon encountered, especially Legendary Pokemon.
  5. Master your throw technique: Practice your curveball throws and aim for Excellent or Great throws to improve your chances of catching Ho-Oh. Using a curveball increases the likelihood of capture, and combining it with an Excellent or Great throw further boosts your odds.
  6. Watch the weather: Weather can affect the types of Pokemon that spawn and their move effectiveness. Keep an eye on in-game weather conditions, as certain weather boosts can help you in battle. For example, Rainy weather boosts Water-type moves, while Partly Cloudy weather boosts Rock-type moves.

The event will be one of the rarest chances players will ever have to encounter and catch this beautiful Gen II shiny bird in Pokemon GO.
