The next Alolan Pokemon to join the Pokemon GO roster has finally been announced. Oricorio and its different forms will be coming alongside the Festival of Colors event starting on March 15, 2022. With this new announcement, many players may have questions about this new Pokemon.

Oricorio was added in the seventh generation like every other Alolan Pokemon. Alola is a region with close ties to nature, and with this being the case, a lot of the native Pokemon reflect this. Oricorio is an excellent example of this as each of its different forms is found on the four different islands that make up the region.

Whenever Pokemon with various forms are introduced to Pokemon GO, questions arise. Whether the player is wondering where each of these forms can be found or what sets each of these forms apart, these questions can leave players confused about the Pokemon and may lose interest.

Oricorio's different forms are inspired by the various forms of dance commonly seen in different cultures across the globe. As a Pokemon, Oricorio draws a lot of design inspiration from birds like the Hawaiian Honeycreeper. The transformation gimmick depends on what it eats, tied to Darwin's Finches.

Oricorio's Baile form, the red one, is a Fire and Flying-type Pokemon that draws inspiration from Spanish Flamenco dancers. Players can find this form in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Players can obtain this style of Oricorio by catching one at Ula'ula Meadow or by using the Red Nectar on their current one.

The following style of Oricorio is the Pom-Pom style, the yellow one. This form is inspired by cheerleaders who are commonly seen cheering on sports teams or energizing the audience. This is carried on in Pom-Pom Oricorio's Electric and Flying-typing. Players in the Americas can find this style.

Oricorio's next form is the Pa'u form, the pink one. This form is inspired by Hula dancers, most commonly seen in Hawaii, where the Alola region takes the most inspiration. To reflect this, this style of Oricorio can be found in the Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Caribbean Islands. This form is Psychic and Flying-type.

Oricorio's final form in Pokemon GO is its Sensu form. Traditional Japanese folding fan dancers inspire this form. This inspiration is reflected in its design as it has feathers that resemble traditional hair sticks and folding fans. This form of Oricorio is a Ghost and Flying-type Pokemon.

Oricorio is one of the most unique Pokemon coming to Pokemon GO thanks to its four forms that almost entirely change its type. Oricorio also has a signature move: Revelation Dance. The typing of this move changes with its form. However, it has not been confirmed if this move will be coming to Oriocrio's moveset.
