Pokemon GO Wild Area is due to start worldwide in less than a day and trainers are gearing up to face its challenges and reap the rewards. The occasion will mark the global debut of Toxtricity, Dynamax Toxtricity, and Gigantamax Toxtricity. Trainers will also have a chance to encounter Mighty Pokemon in Pokemon GO during the event.

Pokemon GO Wild Area event overview
Schedule, event bonuses, and Pokemon debuts
Wild Area will be active on Saturday, November 23, 2024, and Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 10 am local time to 6.15 pm local time. The event bonuses are as follows:
General
- Lure Modules activated will last for two hours
- Chance to catch Pokémon with a Special Background after winning Max Battles against Toxtricity or winning four-star, five-star, and Primal Raids
- Field Research themed around the different Pokémon habitats
- One GO Snapshot surprise event encounter per day—when taking snapshots during the event, you never know who might show up!
- Daily limit for collecting Max Particles increased to 1,600
- No Remote Raid limit from Friday, November 22, to Sunday, November 24, 2024

- 2× Catch Candy
- 1/2 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event
- 2× Hatch Stardust
- 2× Hatch XP

- Up to 5 Raid Passes per day by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms
- 5,000 Additional XP from completed Raids
- 3 Additional Candy XL from Pokémon in four-star, five-star, Mega Raids, Ultra Beast Raids, and Primal Raids
- Up to 6 Special Trades can be made each day
- Reduced Stardust cost for trades

- Increased Max Particles from Power Spots and exploration
- Daily limit for collecting Max Particles increased to 3,200

Toxtricity will make its global debut in Pokemon GO with this event. Its Dynamax and Gigantamax forms will also be available in Max Raids. During Wild Area, trainers will also be able to hatch Toxel (shiny variant available) from 10 km eggs.
Mighty Pokemon and Safari Ball
Mighty Pokemon will be available during Pokemon GO Wild Area, with the following traits:
- More likely to have high Attack, Defense, and HP ratings
- More likely to be XL or XXL
- More difficult to capture
- Encounters will show “!!!” instead of CP
Shiny encounters of these Mighty Pokemon will also be available to lucky trainers. The new Pokemon GO Safari Balls will make things significantly easier for players to capture these unique variants of pocket monsters.

GO Safari Ball: Extra Access Ticket (costing US$2.00) can be purchased from the webstore. It provides one Timed Research task every hour rewarding trainers with four extra GO Safari Balls.
Snorlax and Pikachu in unique cosmetics
