Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are hosting special Tera Raids giving players access to some stronger versions of fairly common creatures in the Paldea region. Bellibolt is one of the newest creatures to be introduced in these games and will be one of the two current Tera Raids in the game.
Special Five-Star Tera Raids hosting both Corviknight and Bellibolt will be available across Paldea until December 5, 2024. These raids will host these creatures with a variety of Tera Typings, so finding definitive offensive counters might prove to be slightly difficult.
That being said, here is everything players should know before challenging the Bellibolt Tera Raid Boss in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Everything to know about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Bellibolt Tera Raid Boss
Bellibolt can be very dangerous to take on in long fights thanks to its Electromorphosis ability. This ability charges Bellibolt whenever it takes damage, greatly boosting the power of its next Electric-type attack. Thankfully, Bellibolt only has access to two Electric-type attacks, Spark and Charge.
This boss even has control of the battlefield with moves like Electric Terrain and Weather Ball. While Bellibolt may not be able to control the weather, this move can allow it to use the weather set by other players against them. With this in mind, it may be helpful to avoid strategies involving weather for this fight as the weather being present also doubles the base damage of Weather Ball.
Bellibolt has access to Electric and Dark-type moves, as well as Weather Ball, which is a Normal-type move if no weather is present. Knowing this, players should avoid using Flying, Water, Ghost, or Psychic-types for this fight.

Best counters for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Bellibolt Tera Raid Boss
Ground-types will be the best counters players can use for this fight. While Bellibolt's Tera Typing will rarely be consistent, its moveset will be. These counters are both capable of tanking Bellibolt's damage while being able to fire off strong attacks as well.
Excadrill is one of the better non-Legendary choices. This creature's Steel and Ground type combination provides it with immunity from Bellibolt's super-charged Electric attacks, as well as resistance against a neutral Weather Ball. Excadrill only needs Swords Dance and Earthquake to take on most Bellibolt Raid Bosses in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Landorus is another great choice for those with access to Legendary Pokemon. The Therian form is preferred for this fight thanks to its Intimidate ability weakening Bellibolt's physical attack. Its offensively-oriented stat spread is also helpful, quikcly allowing it to make quick work out of most forms of Bellibolt.
For trainers with access to it, Arceus is the ultimate Tera Raiding Pokemon for inconsistent Raid Bosses in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Thanks to its ability to change types with the Plate series of items, players can adapt their Arceus before the raid, ensuring its Judgement attack is always super-effective. However, it is a bit hard to come by as it is a Mythical Pokemon that can only be transferred from another title.
