Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Where to find all TMs and how to craft them

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are evolving Nintendo's popular RPG series in many new ways. While they introduce a fully open-world setting, they maintain the iconic turn-based gameplay formula that fans have come to know and love.

Another returning feature is the TMs. Short for "Technical Machines," these items are the primary way for budding trainers to teach their party creatures new moves.

In keeping with tradition, players will encounter these freebies just through exploration. However, they will also be able to craft them, which is a new direction for the series.

As players explore the open world of Paldea, they are bound to come across a bunch of goodies on their travels. These include TMs tucked away in various corners of the world, some requiring more effort than others to get to.

How to craft TMs in Scarlet and Violet

For the first time ever, players will be able to craft TMs at a specialized crafting station. This facility is located at each of the Pokemon Centers dotted around the map.

Players will have access to the recipe for TMs and the ingredients needed to create it. There are two key requirements as far as ingredients go: League Points (LP) and Pokemon materials.

The former is awarded for beating trainers and Tera Raid battles. The latter, on the other hand, are resources dropped by defeating Pokemon (including Raid monsters).

The more powerful the TM, the greater the crafting cost. As such, players can expect to spend a while grinding for resources if they want to own them all.
