The latest update to Pokemon Unite's Scorching Waves patch notes brings significant corrections and adjustments to various Pokemon, including Trevenant, Mimikyu, Garchomp, and Duraludon. These changes aim to balance gameplay and enhance the overall experience for players. Here is a detailed breakdown of what’s new in Pokemon Unite's Scorching Waves.

Pokemon Unite Scorching Waves: Patch corrections for Trevenant, Garchomp, and two other

1) Trevenant

Trevenant, known for its powerful synergy with allies' attacks for large-scale effects, has seen high usage rates in tournaments. This synergy often leaves opposing Pokemon unable to act, making Trevenant a formidable opponent.

To address this, the damage has been nerfed to make it more challenging for Trevenant to take down opponents solo, while still retaining its coordination characteristics.

Initially, only Woodhammer and Curse received nerfs. However, this inadvertently made Horn Leech more viable. Consequently, the cooldown for Horn Leech has been increased from 8.5 seconds to 9 seconds. Although this is a minor adjustment, it ensures that players do not favor Horn Leech over other moves due to its previous advantage.

Despite these nerfs, Trevenant remains a viable and reliable Defender in Pokemon Unite, with its overall performance largely unaffected.

2) Mimikyu

Mimikyu, often facing 1v1 situations as a balance type, had durability issues. To address this, the HP recovery amount from Shadow Claw and the frequency of entering a defensive state with Shadow Sneak has been increased.

The cooldown changes for Play Rough and Play Rough+ have been reset to their original states. Meanwhile, Shadow Sneak now has an 8-second cooldown, and Shadow Sneak+ has a 7-second cooldown.

These adjustments enhance Mimikyu's versatility, making it a flexible All-Rounder capable of filling various roles in team compositions.

3) Garchomp

Garchomp, a Pokemon that requires a high level to evolve, was found to be insufficiently impactful even after evolution. To boost its strength when surrounded by opposing Pokemon, its resistance to opponent effects has been increased, and the effects of its moves have been buffed.

Initially, both Dragon Rush and Dragon Rush+ received a one-second cooldown reduction. This has now been distributed between Dragon Rush and Dragon Claw, with Dragon Rush having a 5-second cooldown and Dragon Claw a 4-second cooldown.

Despite significant buffs to Garchomp's Ground Build (Dig and Earthquake) in Scorching Waves, it still seems slightly underwhelming compared to its Dragon Build. Nevertheless, both builds are viable and can perform well based on the player's preferred playstyle.

4) Duraludon

The most extensive changes in this update have been made to Duraludon, completely altering its playstyle, but on the same note, resulting in one of the highlighted winners from Pokemon Unite's Scorching Waves. While Duraludon's win rate in ranked matches is within a normal range, its usage rate remains low.

Duraludon excels at quickly KOing Rayquaza, but a strategy focused solely on this can make battles monotonous and less enjoyable.

To address this, overall adjustments have been made to Duraludon's stats and moves. Enhanced Attacks now receive maximum HP reductions, changing from an additional 3% of max HP (1000 to max 500) to 1.5% of max HP (500 to max 400) to balance this Dragon/Steel type.

These adjustments aim to reduce monotony and enable Duraludon to actively participate in battles as an attacker proficient in defending goals and other objectives.

The Scorching Waves patch notes corrections bring balanced gameplay changes to Pokemon Unite. These adjustments ensure a more engaging and dynamic experience for players while maintaining the unique characteristics and strengths of each Pokemon.

Whether you are a fan of Trevenant's coordination, Mimikyu's versatility, Garchomp's power, or Duraludon's strategic gameplay, these updates promise to enhance your battles in the Pokemon Unite arena.
