Pokemon Unite Hyper Voltage: Balance Adjustments
To maintain a fair and engaging gameplay environment, several Pokemon's stats and moves have been adjusted. Here are the most notable balance changes:
1) Zacian
Basic Attacks:
- Damage from Zacian's Intrepid Sword ability has been reduced, decreasing the damage dealt with each hit from 3%–5% of max HP to 2%–4%.
Agility:
- The shield provided by Zacian’s Agility has been reduced by 5% across all levels. This adjustment is aimed at reducing Zacian’s dominance in both solo and team fights.
2) Ho-oh
Ability (Regenerator):
- HP recovery has been reduced from 0.4% to 0.3% every two seconds.
- Out of combat, HP recovery has also been reduced from 4% to 3% every two seconds.
Tailwind:
- Damage reduced by 20%.
Fire Spin, Sky Attack, and Fly:
- All of these moves now have slightly longer cooldowns, which decreases Ho-oh's survivability by limiting its high mobility and healing capabilities.
Unite Move (Rekindling Flame):
- Allied Pokemon now receive a feather mark after Ho-oh learns this move, giving players better synergy cues in battle.
3) Sylveon
Hyper Voice:
- The area of effect has been expanded to cover a 120° cone in front, up from the previous 35°. However, its damage has been reduced by 8% to balance the larger hit area.
- Hyper Voice+ now slows opposing Pokemon instead of dealing an extra sound wave.
Draining Kiss:
- HP recovery has been increased by 23%, and the slow effect has been amplified, making Sylveon much more effective at keeping enemies within range.
Baby-Doll Eyes:
- Now guarantees a hit on targeted enemies, providing more reliable crowd control.
4) Pikachu
Visual Updates:
- Pikachu's move visuals have been enhanced for better clarity and impact. This is part of an effort to make its moves feel more satisfying when used in battle.
Volt Tackle:
- The cooldown has been reduced from 10 to 9 seconds, and Pikachu now receives a movement speed boost after using this move, improving its mobility in skirmishes.
Unite Move (Thunderstorm):
- Subsequent lightning strikes now hit two opposing Pokemon instead of one, improving Pikachu's performance in team fights by spreading out its damage more evenly.
5) Gengar
Dream Eater:
- The cooldown has been reduced from 8 to 7 seconds, and healing from Dream Eater+ has been increased, encouraging more aggressive playstyles.
Hex:
- The cooldown when hitting status-affected Pokemon has been reduced further, allowing more frequent uses.
Unite Move (Invisible Shock):
- The energy required for Gengar’s Unite Move has been reduced by 17%, allowing players to unleash this powerful move more frequently in late-game scenarios.
6) Buzzwole
Leech Life:
- The cooldown has been reduced, though healing from this ability has been decreased to balance the increased usability.
Smack Down:
- The cooldown has been reduced from 7.5 to 6.5 seconds, making Buzzwole more fluid in its attack patterns, especially when dealing with hindrance-resistant enemies.
7) Ceruledge
Bitter Blade and Psycho Cut:
- Both moves have had their mid-game damage significantly reduced, with Phantom Dive’s slow effect also seeing a reduction to 60%.
These changes are designed to address Ceruledge’s high burst damage in mid-game, which often led to snowballing and unbalanced matches.
8) Blaziken
Fire Punch:
- The damage from both Fire Punch and Fire Punch+ has been reduced. Blaziken’s high crit rate has also been scaled back to limit its ability to quickly eliminate squishy targets like Attackers.
9) Slowbro
Stats:
- Slowbro’s HP and cooldown reduction stats have been decreased. These changes aim to curb its strong durability and reduce its ability to spam healing and crowd-control abilities.

In Theia Sky Ruins, key wild Pokemon have seen adjustments to their experience points:
- Escavalier and Accelgor now give 18% less experience.
- Baltoy offers 33% more experience.
