5 rare Pokemon to catch at Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2024

Niantic will return a couple of Rock and Fossil Pokemon to the community members by organizing the Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2024 event. The event is almost upon us, and with its commencement, Pocket Monsters will be available in the wild, in 7 KM eggs, in Field Research tasks, Collection Challenge, and more. This special event allows fans to catch many well-known and well-praised ancient and Rock-type Pocket Monsters.

Adventure Week 2024 will start on August 2, 2024, at 10:00 am local time and end on August 12, 2024, at 11:59 pm local time. That said, the following are the five picks known for being rare in this event.

Capture rare Pokemon like Aerodactyl in Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2024

1) Aerodactyl

Aerodactly is a dual Rock- and Flying-type Pokemon belonging to Kanto. During the Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2024 event, this monster, believed to have existed since the dinosaur era, can be encountered in the wild. But it won’t spawn as frequently as other wild creatures do. As a result, finding Aerodactyl will be tough.

Nevertheless, if one can reach areas with Partly Cloudy or Windy weather in-game, one may encounter an Aerodactyl. It experiences a natural spawn boost in these locations.

Thus, those who will attach the Lure Module to PokeStop and activate Incense being present here will be able to boost the wild spawn rate of this Fossil Pokemon even further. Enjoy Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2024!

2) Lileep

During the Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2024, another rare Pokemon to add to the trainer’s collection is Lilpeep, a Fossil Pocket Monster from Hoenn. Its type by birth is Rock and Grass. As of writing, we have found that Lileep will only be available in Field Research task rewards.

Niantic has yet to reveal the full details of the Collection Challenge (CC) of Adventure Week 2024. So, apart from the research awards, the CC rewards might give trainers Lileep encounter as well.

3) Tirtouga

At Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2024, those who will hatch 7 KM eggs or complete the Research tasks will be able to encounter Tirtouga. The Shiny variant of this Rock-, and Water-type monster is also a feature of this event. There are a total of six different Fossil Pokemon that are available in egg hatches. Since predicting which item will give trainers Tirtouga is tough, one should hatch as much as one can.

Field Research tasks that are received by spinning Photodisc of PokeStops and Gyms can reward players with Tirtouga encounters. That said, Shiny Tritouga, which is a rare being, can also be collected by following the same approaches applicable to finding the regular form of the creature.

4) Anorith

As of this moment, there is only one way to come across Anortith and its Shiny form during the Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2024. It is by finishing the Field Research tasks. Trainers may feel a little disappointed because of the limited ways given to come upon the creature, however, it is essential to note that encountering Anorith from the research rewards a rare occurrence.

The likelihood of finding Shiny Anorith over its regular counterpart is very low. Nevertheless, lucky trainers who complete the quest may become eligible for this dual Rock and Grass-type Pokemon with a max combat power (CP) of 1,729.

5) Shieldon

Being the last rare Pokemon that can be captured at Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2024, Shieldon is a feature in 7 KM eggs and the rewards of Field Research tasks.

Feel free to choose any method you feel comfortable with to obtain Shieldon. The Shiny variant of this Pocket Monster is available too, but encountering the critter is not easy in the game.
