Fans have eagerly anticipated the possibility of seeing Psyduck in action, and the latest leak suggests that the developers have crafted an intriguing moveset that stays true to its iconic characteristics.
Purportedly, Psyduck doesn't evolve into Golduck in the game. Instead, it will remain in its original form, bringing a range of abilities centered around headaches and psychic powers.

Passive Ability: Swift Swim
According to the leaks, Psyduck’s passive ability, Swift Swim, enhances its mobility when damaged by opposing Pokemon, increasing its movement speed for a brief period. The effect has a cooldown, but it triggers whenever Psyduck or nearby allies take damage.
Additionally, whenever Psyduck or its surrounding allies are harmed, the “Headache Gauge” gradually fills. Once this gauge is full, a "mysterious power" is unleashed, shoving nearby opponents and boosting Psyduck's moves while reducing their cooldowns.

Starting moves: Level 1 or 3
At the start of the match, Psyduck has access to Confusion and Tail Whip.
1) Confusion unleashes a weak telekinetic force that deals damage to opposing Pokemon and leaves them unable to act for a short duration. While Psyduck’s mysterious power is active, Confusion’s damage is amplified, making it a formidable tool for disrupting enemy strategies.
2) Tail Whip not only deals damage but also applies a slowing effect and decreases the Special Defense of the targeted opponent. When Psyduck’s mysterious power is active, this reduction in special defense becomes even more significant, potentially setting up devastating combos with its other moves.

Options of first moves: Level 5
Upon reaching level 5, Psyduck can choose between Bubble Beam and Surf:
1) Bubble Beam sprays bubbles at enemies, dealing damage and attaching bubbles to them. These bubbles burst when allies deal damage to the affected Pokemon, inflicting additional damage and applying a slow effect.
With the mysterious power active, the damage from these bursts is increased, and an upgrade at level 11 even adds a stun effect when all attached bubbles burst.
2) Surf lets Psyduck create a wave that deals damage and applies a slowing effect to opponents. If the target is already slowed, they are shoved, and Psyduck can ride the wave while attacking. Allies who touch the wave receive a movement speed boost.
When the mysterious power is active, Psyduck creates two waves instead of one, making it an excellent tool for controlling the battlefield.
The upgraded version of Surf also reduces the damage dealt by opponents hit by the move, potentially turning the tide of battle in Psyduck’s favor.

Options of second moves: Level 7
As Psyduck levels up to seven, it gains access to Psychic and Disable:
1) Psychic releases a strong telekinetic force in a designated area, dealing damage and immobilizing opponents. When used again, it pulls the affected Pokemon in a chosen direction.
If Psyduck’s mysterious power is active, the move leaves enemies unable to act after being pulled, and the level 13 upgrade decreases their special defense, making them more vulnerable to follow-up attacks.
2) Disable releases electricity that limits the targeted opponent’s moves while dealing damage and leaving them unable to act. The electricity spreads to nearby enemies up to five times, increasing the cooldown of their last move.
If no move is on cooldown, the next one will be affected. When the mysterious power is active, the number of times the electricity spreads increases.
The level 13 upgrade extends the duration of the immobilization effect, making it an incredibly powerful control tool.

Unite Move: Full-Power Psy-ay-ay!
Psyduck’s Unite Move, Full-Power Psy-ay-ay!, unleashes three psychic waves around itself, decreasing the damage dealt by enemies hit by the move.
After using Full Power, Psyduck’s Headache Gauge fills significantly, enabling it to trigger its mysterious power and gain further boosts to its moves.
This Unite Move can turn the tide in team fights, allowing Psyduck to disrupt enemy plans and empower its allies.

Psyduck’s leaked moveset in Pokemon Unite appears to be a well-rounded mix of control, support, and battlefield disruption. Its reliance on the mysterious power mechanic adds a layer of strategy, rewarding those who can manage the Headache Gauge effectively.
While Psyduck may not boast high defenses, its ability to disable opponents and amplify its team’s effectiveness makes it a valuable asset.
As fans eagerly await Psyduck’s official release, it’s clear that this lovable and quirky Pokemon could soon become a staple in the Supporter role.
