Scraggy is one of the many strange and unique Pokmeon added in Generation 5. It takes its inspiration from youth hip hop and punk cultures but Scraggy ended up as a cute dark/fighting type lizard with baggy pants.

Appearance
Scraggy is a small lizard-like Pokemon with cream colored scales on its body but the top half of its head is yellow. It’s belly is covered in red scales and there is a small red scale on the top of its head. The entire lower part of its body is covered in loose, shedded skin which looks like baggy pants and is the same yellow color as its head.
Behavior
The saggier their shedded skin, the more respect a Scraggy gains amongst other Scraggys but they are still an incredibly aggressive Pokemon and doesn’t need any excuse to headbutt something with its hard head. However this strong ability to headbutt comes from Scraggy’s head being very heavy which makes it difficult for the Pokemon to keep balance.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Scraggy’s dark/fighting typing hands it a few good matchups as it is strong against rock and ghost type moves, taking half damage from them. Not only that, they are especially resistant against dark type moves and take only quarter damage from them. It is also completely immune to psychic type moves but is weak to fighting and flying type moves and thus takes double damage from them. It is especially weak to fairy type moves and takes quadruple damage from them.
Best Moveset for Scraggy
Offensive Setup: Scraggy is a good Pokemon to have a speed boost on which makes a Choice Scarf, as it’s held item, or using Dragon Dance to set up very effective. On top of that, Scraggy’s typing means it has access to lots of moves with the same type attack bonus.

How to Catch Scraggy in Pokemon Go
