Slowbro is a water and psychic-type Pokemon introduced in the original Pokemon games that evolves from Slowpoke starting at level 37. Slowbro is one of Slowpoke’s evolutionary forms, with the other being Slowking. After the introduction of Pokemon Sword and Shield, Slowbro developed more nuance with the introduction of Galarian Slowbro and its new typing and design. Slowbro is a version of its pre evolution, Slowpoke which has now been bitten by a Shelder, a separate, water-type Pokemon also introduced in Generation I.

Appearance
Slowbro is a pink Pokemon with its striped belly and a rounded muzzle both being tan. Slowbro has large, vacant eyes, with curled ears, and two small pointed teeth visible from its upper jaw. Slowbro has three clawed fingers and two clawed toes. There is a Shellder attached to its tail with a gray, spiral shell with darker gray spots, several spikes across its shell, and small eyes near the base.
Behavior
Shelder’s poison has made Slowbro incapable of feeling pain, though it will suddenly jolt to attention when Shelder bites down on its tail, changing from its simple minded and lazy demeanor to a powerful Pokemon capable of using powerful psychic attacks. Slowbro is a peaceful Pokemon that lives near ponds, lakes, and seashores, though since it can no longer fish with its tail as bait, it swims to catch fish, with Shelder eating the scraps. Shellder uses its spiral form in order to suck more sweetness out of Slowbro's tail, though Slowbro will revert into Slowpoke if Shelder is no longer on its tail.

Despite these changes, Galarian Slowbro still has the same base stat total as Slowbro. Galarian Slowbro has a different design from Slowbro, mainly in terms of its purple tipped head, tail, and hand, and its pale purple snout due to Shellder biting its arm instead of its tail, causing a chemical reaction with the consumed Galarica spice it uses to evolve. The Shelder on its arm resembles the Shelder on a regular Slowbro except Galarian Shelder has a purple tip shaped like a stinger and lacks pupils. Mega Slowbro is the Mega Evolution of Slowbro, with increased defense and special attack stats. Slowbro Mega Evolves with the use of Slowbronite, as it was first introduced in Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby. In this form, Shellder engulfs Slowbro so that only its head, arms, and white-tipped tail are visible, with Slowbro’s head being surrounded by Shelder’s teeth. Shelder now has an opening at its tip, allowing the tail of Slowbro to stick out in order for Slowbro to balance itself and bounce for movement. Mega Slowbro's energy is imbued into Shelder, increasing its hardness in order to be used as armor and adding some strength to Slowbro through its digestive fluids.
Shiny Galarian Slowbro
Shiny Galarian Slowbro is a version of Galarian Slowbro with a peach body instead of the usual pink, as well as a bronze colored Shelder on its arm.
