Teddiursa is a Normal Pokemon that was introduced in Generation II. It is the unevolved form of Ursaring, which is also a Normal type and is known as the Little Bear Pokemon. It is 50% male and 50% female. The moon marking and name are influenced by the constellation Ursa Minor and its shiny form changes form more than it changes color.

Appearance
Teddiursa is a small bear Pokemon and is covered in short orange fur. Its muzzle is light tan and it has small black eyes and nose with a pale crescent on its face, just above its eyes. It has three claws on each of its forepaws and has two yellow pads with two claws on its hind paws and also has a short, puffy tail.
Behavior
Teddiursa uses Beedrill pollen and fruit to create honey, and when it does find honey the crescent on its face will glow. It often gets honey on its forepaws and can be seen licking them to get it off but is also known to hide its food before things become scarce in the winter. Teddiursa are typically found living in mountainous forests.
Strengths and Weaknesses
As a standard Normal type Pokemon, Teddiursa is weak to Fighting type Pokemon and takes twice the normal damage from them. It is immune to Ghost type Pokemon but isn’t resistant to anything and is not strong when attacking any type either. It also has no advantage or disadvantage against Normal, Dragon, Poison, Bug, Water, Dark, Fairy, Fighting, Rock, Fire, Ghost, Steel, Ground, Grass, Fairy, Electric and Psychic types.
Best moveset (Teddiursa)
Teddiursa has a lot of strong moves including Focus Punch, which is a move that has 150 power and 100% accuracy. Here are Teddiursa’s best moves: Double Edge has 33% recoil, Earthquake hits all adjacent Pokemon and does double the damage on Dig while Focus Punch fails if the user takes damage before it. Finally, Thrash lasts 2-3 turns and will confuse the user afterwards.

Teddiursa can be found in parking lots, universities, colleges and other residential areas. It can be found pretty much everywhere, though, as it is a Normal type and evolves into Ursaring with 50 candies. It is currently not hatchable from any eggs.

- Teddiursa is a combination of teddy bear and ursa, which is Latin for bear.
FAQs
Is Teddiursa a boy or girl?
Despite Ursaring seeming like a male, neither it or Teddiursa are gender specific. In fact, there is a 50/50 chance of a Teddiursa or Ursaring being a male or female.
Where is Teddiursa in Pokemon Sword and Shield?
Teddiursa are not in any edition of Pokemon Sword and Shield, and are not available in any DLC, either. Neither Teddiursa or Ursaring make their way into the latest Pokemon game.
Is Teddiursa a good Pokemon?
It’s not a terrible Pokemon to have. Ursaring, its evolved form, has a really high attack stat, which helps it deal high damage despite not being super effective against any types. That is the downside with Normal types, they’re not effective against much and they’re not resistant to anything.
Conclusion
Teddiursa is a long-time member of the Pokemon franchise. Despite not being in Pokemon Sword and Shield, it was available in every Generation since its debut in Generation II. It’s Normal type makes it an easy find, but also a weaker fighter due to not having type advantages. Still, its evolved form Ursaring is a very strong attacker, which helps to offset the lack of type advantages.
