While Party Play in Pokemon GO has only been out for a short time, many players have criticized it. One of the most common things they are complaining about is the lackluster rewards that they receive from completing the Party Quests that come with the new form of gameplay. Trainers are starting to pile on the complaints, wondering if the feature is truly worth it.
Fans on X and Reddit have been very vocal about their distaste for Party Play and the grindy, tedious quests it provides, with one user on the Pokemon GO subreddit prompting the discussion with a post titled:

Social media reacts to Pokemon GO's Party Play and its lackluster rewards
Pokemon GO's Party Play quests are not only under fire for being incredibly restrictive but also for not giving adequate rewards. As detailed in the original Reddit post, Niantic is offering players four Razz Berries for using 35 berries in total when capturing wild Pokemon.
Those who claim to have used the feature state they only do so for the bonuses it grants when it comes to Raid Battles. Players in this category have no reason or incentive to actually complete the quests unless they reward them for competing in the raids. Even then, rewards for such gameplay are not always guaranteed.
Players on X have stated that they simply don't see the point in Party Play. Given that they not only need to find people to play with but also need to all be together to complete tasks, the feature just ends up feeling like a waste of time, especially for those who don't play the game to grind it out.
Outside of the lackluster rewards and tedious set-up, many players have been experiencing bugs and glitches with Party Play, with some even corrupting their data and erasing their teams. With word of these issues going around, many trainers are avoiding the feature.
To make matters even more disheartening, Niantic promised the community high-value rewards in official imagery for Party Play released on Pokemon GO's official website. In these promotions, players were told they could earn 15 Berries for catching two Pokemon.
Overall, Party Play had potential for large groups of players looking to squeeze a bit more content out of their favorite mobile game. However, now, it is only a niche feature that can help some trainers in Raid Battles.
