Pokemon GO's GO Fest 2024 Global event is nearing its conclusion for many players. Those who participated in optimal settings are surely aware of the sheer number of creatures and Raid Battles the event brought to the popular mobile game. For many, the best part of such events is the availability of different kinds of raids.

With so many players having their choice of raids at any given time, most would expect all trainers to orbit the locations of higher-tier Raid Bosses. However, certain moments captured by players show this wasn't the case. User Neil3380 witnessed one such situation, stating:

"They got their priorities straight."

The post showed how despite multiple Five-Star Necrozma raids in both forms being present in the area, many players opted for the One-Star Jangmo-o Raid Battle. With Necrozma being the highlight of the GO Fest 2024, it was a bit odd seeing so many players opting for a One-Star Raid Battle.

Some members of the subreddit believe that the increase in shiny odds granted by the $15 ticket upgrade may be the reason why players have been focusing on grinding out One-Star Raid Battles. This is because raids with shiny odds increased are much better than shiny odds for wild Pokemon.

Also, creatures captured from raids have much better stats than wild Pokemon. This means that players can grind at these raids for a better chance at a Shiny Jangmo-o with high stats. This would enable the critter to perform better in the game's Battle League once it fully evolves into Kommo-o. After all, having a Shiny Kommo-o with the best stats possible is quite the bragging right.

User Ill-Animator-4403 commented on the fact that the raid for the Jangmo-o had over five participants. With GO Fest 2024 being quite the occasion to celebrate among the community, the high local player numbers are understandable. That being said, over five trainers for a single One-Star Raid Battle seems a bit excessive.

User jakelop7 offered some insight into the mindset of players who host these raids, saying they are the easiest to set up for other players to join. The user also mentioned that they join these raids because they have so many extra Raid Passes. With this in mind, the incentive to join an extra raid is only amplified by having the purchasable ticket, giving them a better chance to find a shiny variant.

Was GO Fest 2024's ticket upgrade worth it in Pokemon GO?

Though purchasing the ticket now would be impossible for many players, the upgrade to the ticket that they could purchase for more bonuses and content during Pokemon GO Fest 2024 Global turned out to be a great investment. However, this was only beneficial for those dedicating a substantial amount of time when the event was active.

On the other hand, the ticket is only worth it for heavy investment, as this purchasable upgrade for the event will likely make a comeback for upcoming GO Fest events as well.
