Torracat is a Fire type Pokemon that was introduced along with the Alola Region (Generation VII). It is the evolved form of Litten and the pre-evolution of Incineroar. This Pokemon has a bell around its neck which is a playful reference to a cat with a bell but this bell is actually an organ where this Pokemon stores its flames.

Appearance
Torracat is based on a Tiger Cat, also known as Tabby Cats. It has the body form of a cat with it primarily black and red. On its neck is a bell-like organ which is actually where it stores its flame. It has wide eyes with black and red pupils. It has pointed ears and long fur in the middle of it. The upper half of its face except for the middle is entirely black, including its ears. It has a gray nose and fur so long it resembles whiskers on its face with stripes on its foot along with claws. Its back is entirely black except for the middle where there’s a bit of red while its tail is also black with red stripes.
Behavior
Torracat are easily spoiled and incredibly strong Pokemon but if you pamper them too much, they can leave claw markings all over your body. Although small, this Pokemon can still pack a punch as with extremely strong front paws, it can punch and bend iron bars. However, its flame abilities are not to be underestimated as well. The bell on the neck of this Pokemon determines how strong the flames are. When it uses flame moves, the bell glows. You can tell if it is pumped up based on how much the mane stands up. If the mane is completely up, it means it can’t be more pumped.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Torracat is a pure Fire type and is weak to Water, Ground and Rock type moves while resistant to Fire, Grass, Fairy, Bug, Steel and Ice type moves. However, it is immune to no moves and takes normal damage from every other type.
Best moveset
While there is no reason not to evolve a Torracat into the beast that is Incineroar, if you want to use this Pokemon in NFE, it can be pretty strong. It has a strong movepool with decent attack and special attack along with intimidate. Nasty Plot raises Special Attack by two stages. This can significantly increase the damage dealt by Flamethrower. Flamethrower is a STAB move and the only attacking move in this build. If this Pokemon gets countered, always use Parting Shot to get out as it also reduces the opponent’s Attack and Special Attack. Taunt is a utility move to prevent the opponent from using set-up moves.

Conclusion
Torracat is a Pokemon that a lot of anime watchers love in Pokemon the Series: Sun and Moon. A lot of the fanbase have favored this Pokemon during this season. But this doesn’t stop there. This little tiger cat is also favoured by meta players because of its evolution, Incineroar. This Pokemon has been dominating the meta since its emergence, with a strong signature move and incredible typing. Nobody can dispute Incineroar’s strength, even if you hate its design. Torracat is the perfect bridge between the Litten and Incineroar, showing the transition from ember to Darkest Lariat. It is also incredibly cute unlike its water and grass counterparts, which could be better compared to Torracat.
