Appearance
Vibrava is a small, light colored dragonfly-like Pokemon with a small head and two yellow antennae. It has bulging green eyes alongside two white teeth protruding from either side of its mouth. It has a slender, yellowish body with four black legs and four green wings that are shaped like rhombuses with similar shapes at the end of its tail.
Behavior
Vibrava’s wings are underdeveloped, so its flying skills are stunted. It can fly for a little bit before tapping out but they can, however, make ultrasonic waves and vibrations. Humans will get severe headaches from this and it will spit stomach acid on its fainted enemies to kill them. Vibrava typically lives in the desert.
Strengths and Weaknesses
As a Ground and Dragon type Pokémon, Vibrava is weak against Dragon and Fairy type moves and will take twice the normal damage from them. It is also weak to Ice type moves and they will do four times the damage to Vibrava. It is immune to Ground and Electric type Pokemon and is resistant to Poison, Rock and Fire types, which will do half the damage. There is no advantage or disadvantage with Normal, Water, Grass, Fighting, Bug, Psychic, Flying, Dark, Steel and Ghost types.
Best moveset (Vibrava)
Vibrava has a lot of strong moves including Boomburst, which is a move that has 140 power and 100% accuracy. Here are Vibrava’s best moves: Boomburst hits all adjacent Pokemon, Double Edge has 33% recoil while Draco Meteor lowers the user’s Special Attack by 2. Finally, Hyper Beam prevents the user from moving the next turn.

How to catch Vibrava in Pokemon Go?
Vibrava can be found in parks, quarries, golf courses and woodlands. Sunny and clear weather boosts Trapinch and Vibrava spawns. Trapinch, its unevolved form, can be found in parks and woodlands as well and is also a more common spawn as compared to its evolution. It evolves to Vibrava at 25 candies and to Flygon with another 100.
Trivia
- Vibrava shares a category with Seismitoad and Palpitoad. These are known as the Vibration Pokemon.
- In the Blue Egg Group, the only Dragon type Pokemon are Vibrava and Flygon.
- Vibrava's base Attack stat is lower than that of Trapinch, but it returns to the original number when it evolves to Flygon.
- Despite possessing wings and the ability to fly, albeit for a short amount of time, Vibrava is a Ground type, interestingly enough. The same can be said for Flygon.

FAQs
- How big is Vibrava?
- Vibrava stands almost four feet, at 3’07 and weighs 33.7 pounds, so it is one of the smallest Pokemon. Trapinch is even smaller at 2’04 and 33.1 pounds (a rather insignificant weight gain for an evolution), but Flygon grows to 6’07 and weighs 180 pounds, which is a very significant gain.
- Is Vibrava in Pokemon Sword and Shield?
- Yes, all three forms, Trapinch, Vibrava and Flygon, are available to Pokemon Sword and Shield players. Vibrava can be found on Route 6% with just a 1% spawn chance in All Weather. Trapinch has the same stipulations and can evolve at level 35. Flygon has the same stipulations and evolves at level 45.
- Is there a shiny Vibrava?
- Yes, in Pokemon Go. The shiny Vibrava turns brown instead of the light yellow shade. Its wings are darker brown instead of the green it usually has.
Conclusion
Vibrava is a good Pokemon that has access to a lot of strong moves. It has several moves that exceed 100 in power, making it a tremendous attacking Pokemon. The base stats for a middle evolution are good, too which has made Trapinch, Vibrava and Flygon highly sought after additions to a Pokemon team. Vibrava is the middle stage so its stats are good overall, though they get that much better when it becomes Flygon.
