Pokemon TCG Pocket has only been released for a little over a week, but players across the globe have already made it one of the most popular mobile games of the year. This is due in part to the title's heavy emphasis on collecting cards rather than battling with them, making it more accessible to a wider audience.

One of the game details that may elude newer trading card fans is the existence of rare booster packs or God Packs, as they have been called by the community.

Pokemon TCG's God Packs are almost identical to the standard booster packs. They have a 1 in 20 chance of generating whenever the player picks a booster pack from the revolving selection screen. What makes them special is that they are guaranteed to contain at least one card with a one-star rarity rating or better.

Cards of this rarity are known as "full arts" among experienced Pokemon TCG fans. They are high-value cards that feature artwork of their respective creature. The art encases the entire card rather than just the top half.

These cards are not better than their standard variants, having the same stats, typing, and moves. However, they exist to give collectors a high-value item to hunt for.

Is there a way to identify God Packs in Pokemon TCG Pocket?

Identifying a God Pack can be a bit tricky, as there is no definitive way to tell until it is opened. However, some clever players have noticed that there are occasional booster packs that sport a crease on the upper-right corner. While the crease typically indicates that they are special packs, this is not always the case.

For those who want to inspect their packs before choosing, Pokemon TCG Pocket allows players to do so by dragging their finger around the screen. They can spin whatever booster pack they want around to inspect it for creased corners. However, just because a pack is creased does not always mean it is a God Pack.

For now, players can only get God Packs if they're incredibly lucky. The game is still fairly new, so there may come a time where ways to summon a God Pack or methods to easily identify one are implemented into the game.
