Niantic has announced their plans to bring Dynamax variants of the Legendary Kanto Birds into Pokemon GO. This will be done during an upcoming event known as Legendary Flight, which will last from January 20 to February 9, 2025. Articuno will be the first of the three new Dynamax Raid Bosses when Pokemon GO's Legendary Flight event begins. It will be available from January 20, 2025, to January 27, 2025, through Five-Star Max Battles. Being one of the hardest difficulties of Max Battles available, players should bring fully-evolved Dynamax Pokemon to the fight.

Players looking to take on Articuno should do so with powerful Fire-type Pokemon like Cinderace and Charizard. For those who managed to get their hands on a Dynamax Toxtricity during 2024's Wild Area event, it will come in handy for this fight as well.

What to know about Dynamax Zapdos in Pokemon GO

Zapdos will be the Five-Star Max Battle Boss present in Pokemon GO from January 27, 2025, to February 3, 2025. This particular Legendary has a great defensive type combination and is only weak to Rock and Ice-type attacks. Given the limited roster of Dynamax Pokemon, the list of counters is rather short.

So far, the best creature to use is Dynamax Cryoganal. However, by the time Dynamax Zapdos releases, Dyanamx Articuno will be available for players to use, so it will be much better than Cryoganal for this fight. Hence, trainers must get Dynamax Articuno while they can.

Moltres will be the last of the Legendary Birds offered during Pokemon GO's upcoming event. Players can expect to see it in Five-Star Max Battles from February 3, 2025, to February 9, 2025. Having the weakest defensive type combination of the bunch, small groups find it relatively easy to take down this critter.

Common choices like Dynamax Blastoise and Inteleon will be some of the best options players can use for taking down Pokemon GO's Dynamax Moltres Raid Boss. Dynamax Zapdos is also a good option, as its Electric-type attacks deal super-effective damage to Moltres.
