When is shiny Togedemaru releasing in Pokemon GO?

Pokemon GO introduced Togedemaru on September 16, 2022, but its shiny form didn't arrive with it. That's about to change in a few short days. For trainers who are wondering when shiny Togedemaru will be released, it will make its debut during Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel, starting on July 25, 2024, at 10am until July 30, 2024, at 8pm local time.

During this event, Togedemaru will appear in multiple aspects of the game as a featured Pokemon. Players will have an excellent opportunity to catch not only the Pocket Monster but also its shiny variant more often than usual, thanks to its increased appearance rate.

Where can you find shiny Togedemaru in Pokemon GO's Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel event?

During Pokemon GO's Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel, Togedemaru will appear more often in the wild and pop up as a tier-1 raid boss. The Pocket Monster will also appear as a Field Research Task reward during this event, and the Timed Research may also provide additional encounters with it.

During Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel, Togedemaru's shiny form can be found in any of the ways its normal variant can be found.

With this in mind, trainers are encouraged to roam the overworld map and encounter Togedemaru in the wild while also collecting research tasks from Pokestops. If they encounter a gym with a Togedemaru raid, it should be easy to beat repeatedly since this Pokemon is only a tier-1 raid boss.

By remaining active and roaming the wild, taking on as many Togedemaru raids as possible, and completing research all the while, Pokemon GO players should be able to maximize their chances of finding at least one shiny Togedemaru. If trainers can use incense and standard lure modules during the event, the additional Togedemaru spawns should yield even more shiny appearances.

Additionally, once Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel is over, shiny Togedemaru will likely be available wherever its normal form can be found during ordinary gameplay. Since Togedemaru appears in the wild and has also appeared in raids, 10-kilometer egg hatches, and Field Research Task rewards in the past, players should keep an eye on the calendar and the wild for any potential shinies.

Unfortunately, outside of Pokemon GO's Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel, Togedemaru will likely not spawn quite as often, making shiny hunting for it more complicated.

However, Togedemaru also has an upcoming Spotlight Hour event in Pokemon GO on July 30, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm local time. This provides trainers with another solid opportunity to catch shiny Togedemaru if they can play during the time window.
