Pokemon GO's Max Out Finale goes live on November 27, 2024. The event brings many Five-Star raids to Niantic's mobile game, offering multiple Galarian Legendary Pokemon. Mega Altaria also makes an appearance as the Mega Raid Boss.

This can pose a challenge since Pokemon GO provides players with limited resources before they need to purchase more. Trainers must consider Raid Passes and the healing items necessary to keep their best fighters in top condition.

For this reason, some might want to know which ones are worth spending their limited resources on.

Ranking every 5-star and Mega raid in Pokemon GO's Max Out Finale event

5) Regidrago

Regidrago is one of the many Five-Star Raid Bosses players can find during the Max Out Finale in Pokemon GO. While its stats are somewhat tanky, it lacks any hard-hitting Dragon-type fast attacks, which puts it at a disadvantage. This is especially true when compared to other Dragon-type creatures players can use in both Raid Battles and competitive play.

However, this event marks the first time Regidrago can be found in its shiny variant. As such, some collectors may be tempted to find one since Five-Star Raid Battles have increased chances of yielding Shiny Pokemon compared to most other raids.

4) Regieleki

Regieleki is very similar to its Dragon-type counterpart. While its stats would make it a great offensive choice, the creature lacks any sort of spammability in its moves. While it does have some decent fast attack options, unlike Regidrago, all of its charged attacks require massive amounts of energy to fire off.

Similar to its counterpart, Regieleki's shiny variant will debut during the Max Out Finale. This may make it more valuable among many collectors.

It is unlikely that these Legendary Pokemon will receive a meaningful buff to their movepool, as the Regi Golems have always had a playstyle revolving around the Lock-on move, with Registeel being the only success story from the set.

3) Mega Altaria

Mega Altaria offers very little offensive power, only being a decent support pick (Image via The Pokemon Company)

Mega Altaria is the only Mega Raid Boss offered during the Max Out Finale in Pokemon GO. The issue with Mega Altaria is that its type combination of Dragon and Fairy are both covered by much better creatures of their element. Many players with access to better Megas, like Gardevoir or Rayquaza, would much rather use those since they have the stats to deal substantial damage.

For players new to Mega Raids, Mega Altaria is not a bad starting Mega. However, it is outclassed by many other choices in the game. Like the entries prior, the Altaria that players can encounter after defeating the Mega Altaria Raid Boss has a chance to appear in its shiny form.

2) Zamazenta

Zamazenta is another potential Five-Star Raid Boss players may encounter when Pokemon GO's Max Out Finale event goes live. Being a Box Legendary, the creature got a bit more love in the transition between the main series and Niantic's mobile spin-off.

Thanks to high stats and a great moveset with access to Fairy and Dark coverage, Zamazenta is one of the most popular Fighting-type Pocket Monsters players can see in Master League. It is also a decent choice for a non-Mega battler for raids.

Zamazenta can be found in its shiny form during the Max Out Finale.

1) Zacian

Zacian is the last of the Five-Star Raid Bosses that players can find during the Max Out Finale and is the most worthwhile for users looking to invest their limited resources wisely.

Zacian's pure Fairy typing is one of the best for the Master League metagame as it highly revolves around bulky Dragon-type creatures. Its large number of coverage options also allows it to take many neutral encounters with minimal damage.

Additionally, collectors can even stumble across this Legendary Pokemon's shiny variant.
