Both Voltorb and Hisuian Voltorb will be spawning in the wild at Community Day encounter rates from 6 - 7 pm on January 7, 2025. Critters usually have the default shiny rate of 1-in-512 during this time.

However, while Hisuian Voltorb has permaboosted shiny odds, the chances of finding Shiny Kanto Voltorb have been boosted by the Fidough Fetch event. As a result, there is a high chance that you might encounter the shiny variant of these Pokemon during the Spotlight Hour.

Coming to the Stardust bonus, the 2x multiplier will be overridden by the 4x bonus from the Fidough Fetch Global Challenge. As a result, you will get four times the regular amount of Stardust for every Voltorb you capture during the one-hour event. Combining the effects of a Star Piece will further increase this to 6x.
