Pokemon GO's Dual Destiny season has introduced a new loading screen to celebrate the winter season. This screen features two new Pocket Monsters that have yet to appear in the game, exciting many players about the future of the title. These creatures are Corviknight and Dachsbun.

Corviknight, with its unique type combination and impressive stats, is one of the most anticipated additions to Niantic's mobile title in quite some time. Meanwhile, Dachsbun is a popular Pocket Monster from the Paldea region.

Corviknight and its base form, Rookidee, are prominently featured in the new loading screen alongside Pikachu and Dedenne, delivering presents to a player and their Pokemon. Although the low resolution of the image can make it tricky to see, the creature between Snorlax and the player avatar is Dachsbun.

While the artwork is charming and appropriate for the festive season, it also implies that these Pocket Monsters may arrive sooner than expected. With the loading screen being an obvious nod to the Christmas holiday, it may be safe to assume that both creatures will come to the game before the end of December.

Given their performance in the main series, these creatures could become formidable competitors in the Battle League. Both are incredibly defense-oriented, which has proven to be the optimal stat spread for Niantic's mobile spin-off.

Will Corviknight be good in Pokemon GO PvP?

Many players are excited about Corviknight because it has nearly replaced Skarmory in the main series metagame, leaving many users hoping this will remain true for Pokemon GO.

Corviknight has bulkier stats and higher damage potential than Skarmory. However, its combat power limit exceeds Skarmory's by almost 400, meaning it will need to enter the Great League at a lower level.

While Corviknight might not entirely replace Skarmory in Pokemon GO's metagame, as it did in the main series, it will likely do much better in the Ultra League.

Will Dachsbun be good in Pokemon GO PvP?

According to datamined information, Dachsbun appears to be a strong Fairy-type tank that could see some moderate success in the Great League. Its high defense and access to Charm, one of the game's most powerful fast attacks, could make it a top contender among Fairy-type creatures.

However, the current abundance of Clodsire poses a challenge for Fairy-type Pocket Monsters in this format. Fortunately, Dachsbun has access to Psychic Fangs, which deals super-effective damage against Clodsire. Although it is unclear how it will perform in this match-up, Dachsbun should still be viable in Premier Cups.
