Behavior
Xatu have a tendency to stare off into space for extended periods at a time, standing perfectly still. It is believed that Xatu is capable of seeing the future and past simultaneously, and thus freezes up in fear of letting its perceived future come true. It is a popular partner of those with latent psychic abilities and fortune tellers for this exact reason.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Thanks to its good special attack, speed, and solid defensive stats, Xatu is more than capable of either being built to output sizable damage or to outlast its opponents. With Future Sight it can unleash delayed, but extremely potent psychic attacks while being able to brush off many hits.
Be wary though, as Xatu may be well rounded, it can be taken down by more specialized Pokemon that can attack its weaknesses in its Psychic/Flying typing. It is resistant to Fighting, Grass and Psychic type moves and immune to Ground but is weak to Rock, Ghost, Electric, Ice and Dark type moves.
Best moveset
With Roost, Xatu has the capability of being in prolonged engagements and capitalizing on its good defensive stats. In combination with Future Sight, and a couple other moves like U-Turn to disengage from truly bad matchups and Night Shade to hit for neutral guaranteed damage, Xatu can outlast many Pokemon
