Zacian is the Legendary Pokemon mascot of Pokemon Sword and is the counterpart of the Pokemon Shield Legendary mascot, Zamazenta. Zacian is a Fairy-type in its Hero of Many Battles form and a fairy and steel-type Pokemon in its Crowned Sword form. Zacian, along with Zamazenta, is a member of the Hero Duo. Zacian first appears in its Hero of Many Battles from within the Slumbering Weald and can be transformed into its main form, the Crowned Sword, which is achieved after giving it the Rusted Sword artifact.

Appearance of Zacian
In its Hero of Many Battles form, Zacian is portrayed as a cyan, wolf-like Pokemon with pink braids on each side of its head and a pink tail. Zacian has a multitude of scars across its body and is missing a part of its ear. Zacian’s cyan fur acts as a cloak over its cream legs with its black toes. In Zacian’s Crowned Sword form, its cyan fur forms into gold-coated protrusions resembling wings, and Zacian’s pink braids develop attributes similar to that of ribbons. Zacian is holding its gold sword, which is detailed with pink and cyan in order to represent Zacian’s color palette and Zacian is now wearing a golden helmet with three points on the front, a mask-like section, and two golden points on top of its ears. Zacian’s helmet also has pink detailing dividing the middle of the mask, and two blue marks on the outermost section of each side of the helmet.

Zacian is known as the Fairy King's Sword due to its grace and skill in combat, which often was graceful enough to resemble a type of dance and could allow Zacian to cut down opponents within a single strike. Zacian’s sword can cut through nearly anything as if it was paper and Zacian itself can move within the blink of an eye, this sword can be sheathed within its mane.
