Appearance of Zeraora

Zeraora has a distinctly human body shape but with feline features accenting it. This is clear from its cat-like snout and claws and paws instead of hands and feet. It also has blue whiskers on its face in the shape of little lightning bolts, sticking out well from its black and yellow body.

Behavior of Zeraora

Behavior of Zeraora

Zeraora is seen to be a rather rash Pokemon. In the movie it appeared in, it was very aggressive and adverse to humans due to it being chased by Pokemon poachers. Even with Ash trying to comfort the Pokemon, Zeraora stayed aggressive for a long while before it calmed down.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Zeraora is a pure electric type, and is therefore resistant against flying and steel type moves, taking half damage from them. It also has the ability Volt Absorb which makes it completely immune to electric-type moves. It only has one weakness, the ground type, which it takes double damage from.

How to Catch Zeraora in Pokemon Go

Zeraora is not yet in Pokemon Go, but there are a few small references to it in the game's files. Every Pokemon actually has a spot reserved in the game's files but Zeraora, like most unadded Pokemon, has nothing special about its data and it seems to just be placeholder information for now. Though since it is a mythical Pokemon, it can be assumed that it would appear in Raid Battles when added.

Trivia

It's possible to obtain a Shiny Zeraora in Pokemon Sword and Shield through a raid battle in the Isle of Armor DLC, making it the only mythical Pokemon saw in a Max Raid Battle.

Zeraora is the only mythical Pokemon that is an electric type.

In the film it first appears in, ‘Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us, ’ it's said that Zeraora was born from an explosion caused by a bolt of lightning striking an erupting volcano.
