2024 saw several top poker players around the world win some big prize money with their impressive skills. Players such as Adrian Mateos from Spain and Jonathan Tamayo from the United States won huge cash prizes last year.
These players will again be in action in the coming days with the World Series of Poker already taking center stage from Jan 6. Before that, let's know some of the best players from last year who bagged big money.

Coleman with a total earnings of 8,992,293 USD is one of the first poker players to make this list. He is the current third player in the Global Poker Index and has some impressive cash wins in 2024. Coleman won the World Poker Tour's Trifecta event last year and won an amount of $730,000. Notably, his biggest cash win came last month in the World Series of Poker Triton main event where he finished sixth and won 890,000 USD.
#4. Jonathan Tamayo
Tamayo was the winner of the 2024 No Limit Hold'em main event which gave him a prize money of a million dollars taking his career prize money of 12, 394, 682 USD. With his sheer experience of competing in the circuit, Tamayo holds the fourth spot on this list.
#3. Adrian Mateos
Mateos, a Spanish native was the top earner last year (12,124,218.01 USD) and currently holds the fourth rank in the Poker Index. His most notable earning in 2024 was the 3,292,000 USD during the No Limit Hold'em 8-Handed 11th event where he finished second. In the same series, he won another big money of 1,761,000 USD during the seventh event.

Seiver is one of the top Poker players of the current generation with a total of seven bracelets to his name. Even though his cash earnings in 2024 were not as notable as other players on the list, his total career earnings of 27,423,137 USD exceeds that of the other players. Seiver's most notable prize money last year came in June when he won the WSOP Omaha Hi/Lo event and bagged an amount of 426, 744 USD.
#1. Jesse Lonis
Lonis is one of the best poker players in the current circuit and holds the top spot with total earnings of 14,010,193 USD and is also the current top-ranked player in the Index. A New Jersey native, Lonis' most recent winning came in Las Vegas just a few days ago during the No Limit Hold' em PGT Last Chance where he finished 12th and bagged an amount of 24,225 USD.
Lonis also had some big wins last year including the 1,502,000 cash he won after clinching the first position in the No Limit Hold'em 7-Handed event.
