Hulu has planned an exciting lineup of releases for the month of June. With a diverse range of compelling stories brought to life by talented actors and visionary creators, Hulu's newest offerings are set to transport viewers to thrilling worlds, evoke laughter, tears, and everything in between.
The lineup includes original titles, new seasons of beloved shows as well as an interesting roster of classic movies and television shows. Viewers can look forward to a catalog of films and shows, ranging from comedy dramas to biopics and psychological thrillers.
Here are five new titles that are slated to release on Hulu in the month of June.
Chevalier and 4 other June releases on Hulu
1) Flamin' Hot
Flamin' Hot is a biographical film directed by Eva Longoria that tells the story of the founder of Flamin' Hot Cheetos, Richard Montañez. The movie is based on a memoir by Montañez titled A Boy, a Burrito and a Cookie: From Janitor to Executive.
Starring Jesse Garcia, Annie Gonzalez, Dennis Haysbert, and Tony Shalhoub, the film is expected to be a real-life account of how Montañez, who was a janitor at a Frito-Lay factory, invented the popular Cheetos snack after being inspired by his Mexican heritage and their love for spicy food.
Flamin' Hot will start streaming on Hulu on June 9, 2023.
2) The Full Monty (Season 1)
The Full Monty is a sequel series to the original cult classic film that was released in 1997. The show follows the original Monty gang twenty-five years later, "as they navigate the post-industrial city of Sheffield, and society’s crumbling healthcare, education, and employment sectors."
The original cast of the 1997 film will be reprising their roles for the show, including Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, Tom Wilkinson, Paul Barber, Hugo Speer, Lesley Sharp, and Steve Huison. The Full Monty will also feature newcomers such as Tupele Dorgu, Talitha Wing, Aiden Cook, Phillip Rhys Chaudhary, Jamie Michie, Keeley Fitzgerald, and Jaxon Valentine.
Season 1 of The Full Monty will air from June 14, 2023 on Hulu.
3) The Bear (Season 2)
Season 2 of The Bear will see the return of Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and the rest of the kitchen crew as they attempt to transform their sandwich shop to one of the top restaurants in Chicago. While reconstructing their restaurant, the crew go through personal transformations of their own as they learn to trust each other and work together in order to establish a successful enterprise.
Along with White, Edebiri, and Moss-Bachrach, the show will have Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Edwin Lee Gibson, Corey Hendrix, José Cervantes, and Richard Esteras reprising their roles.
The new season of The Bear will stream on Hulu on June 22, 2023.
4) Chevalier
Chevalier is a biographical film directed by Stephen Williams that tells the story of composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. The biopic traces Bologne's story from his birth as an illegitimate offspring of an African slave and a French plantation owner, his rise to fame at the court of the French Queen, Marie Antoinette, to his knighthood, his musical accomplishments, love affairs and his eventual fall as the Revolution takes over France.
The film stars Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Joseph Bologne, along with Samara Weaving, Lucy Boynton, Marton Csokas, Alex Fitzalan, and Minnie Driver.
Chevalier will release on Hulu on June 16, 2023.
5) Jagged Mind
The horror thriller Jagged Mind follows the story of Billie, a woman who is plagued with strange visions and blackouts. When Billie learns that she is caught in a series of time loops, she wonders whether her strange condition is related to her new girlfriend, Alex.
Directed by Kelley Kali, the queer psychological thriller is based on Kali’s short film titled First Date. The film stars Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Shannon Woodward in lead roles.
Jagged Mind will premiere exclusively on Hulu on June 15, 2023.
