BLACKPINK Lisa has been breaking records both as part of the K-pop group and as a solo artist. She recently became the first solo K-pop artist to achieve nine Guinness World Records.

Among her notable achievements, Lisa's track MONEY from her album LALISA reached 1 billion streams on Spotify, a first for any solo K-pop artist. 1) Fastest K-pop idol to surpass 1 million followers on TikTok

BLACKPINK Lisa set a world record by gaining the fastest 1 million follower count on TikTok as a K-pop artist, surpassing the old record held by BTS' Jungkook. On June 6, 2024, Lisa launched her official account on TikTok and within 2 hours and 18 minutes, she garnered 1 million subscribers. It took 3 hours and 31 minutes for Jungkook to reach that.

Lisa then reached 10 million TikTok subscribers in just 16 days.


2) One billion plays on Spotify

In 2021, BLACKPINK Lisa released her second solo track Money from her album LALISA. As per Guinness, this track earned 1 billion plays on Spotify by September 2023, becoming the first solo K-pop soloist to do so.

Apart from Spotify, the track has also reached a billion views on YouTube.


3) First K-pop soloist to win MTV Video Music Awards

BLACKPINK Lisa won the MTV Video Music Awards in 2022, creating history as the first solo K-pop idol to win the award. She earned the award for her solo track, LALISA.

BTS Jungkook, however, won the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, becoming the first male K-pop idol to earn that.


4) Most followed K-pop artist on Instagram

BLACKPINK Lisa holds the record of the most-followed K-pop artist on Instagram. Currently, her Instagram followers count 103 million while her following list is null.

Another BLACKPINK member, Jennie, reached 85 million followers, securing second place among K-pop idols.


5) Winning the MTV Europe Music Awards

In November 2022, BLACKPINK Lisa created another world record by winning the MTV Europe Music Awards. She became the first solo K-pop artist who win the award. Earlier, BTS won the same award in 2021 as the whole band.


6) Most viewed music video in 24 hours

In June 2024, Lisa launched her latest comeback Rockstar, which created another world record by getting 20 million views in 24 hours. With that count, Lisa earned the record of the most viewed music video in 24 hours.

Earlier the record was held by IU's Love wins All, which recorded 13.1 million views in 24 hours.

Lisa's debut solo track, LALISA, garnered 700 million views on YouTube in 24 hours, creating another record as the fastest music video by a female solo K-pop artist on YouTube to do this. The track came out in 2021 and it has sold over 736,000 copies.

8) First K-pop album to cross 1 billion plays on Spotify

In the solo album of BLACKPINK Lisa, LALISA became the first K-pop album to surpass 1 billion plays on Spotify. The album came out in September 2021, and it took 565 days to cross a billion plays on the music streaming application.

LALISA and Money, two singles from the album, earned 312 million and 688 million plays, respectively, by April 2023. It made the album the first K-pop album to surpass the amount of plays.


9) The first female soloist to surpass a billion plays on Spotify
