After speculations of Barry Keoghan's split with Sabrina Carpenter started doing the rounds, with allegations that Barry cheated on the singer, the Irish actor deleted his Instagram account. Barry deleted his account on December 6, 2024, which grew speculations about him being the wrongdoer.

Revealing the reason behind his Instagram account deletion, Barry Keoghan took to X on December 8, 2024, stating that he can only sit and tolerate so much. The actor said that his name has "been dragged across the Internet" in ways that he usually doesn't respond to.

Addressing the nature of the statements made against him by people, Barry mentioned:

"Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine. Dragging my character and everything I worked extremely hard for and stand for.”

The Saltburn actor said that he chose to respond at the moment because the speculations and statements about him are getting to a place where there are "too many lines being crossed".

Barry also said that he deactivated his Instagram account because he could no longer let the statements distract him from family and work. Additionally, the actor said that no person should ever have to read the kind of messages he has received.

In the X statement addressing his Instagram account deletion, Barry Keoghan mentioned that people were talking about him being a "heroine baby" and how he grew up. He said that these statements dragged his mother into the situation.

Barry said that people went as far as:

"Knocking on my grannies door. Sitting outside my baby boys house intimidating them. That's crossing a line."

Barry has been vocal about having a difficult childhood wherein he grew up in foster care after his mother passed away from a drug overdose.

The Dunkirk actor said that each and every day he works harder to push himself on every level to be the strongest and healthiest person for his son.

The actor talked about the kind of opportunities he wants to provide for his son Brando who he shares with former partner, Alyson Sandro. Barry said that he wants his son to "learn, fail, and grow". The Irish actor added:

“I want him to be able to look up to his daddy, to have full trust in me and know I will have his back no matter what. I need you to [remember] he has to read ALL of this about his father when he is older. Please be respectful to all. Thank u x.”

Hateful comments and speculations surrounding Barry Keoghan have started circulating after news of his breakup with singer Sabrina Carpenter came out. The pair were first linked in December 2023 after they were spotted having dinner together in Los Angeles.

Since then, their equation has been evident, with Barry commenting on Sabrina's Instagram posts and making an appearance in the crowd during the singer's Coachella performance in April 2024.

Moreover, Barry also starred in Sabrina's Please Please Please music video.

While neither Barry Keoghan nor Sabrina Carpenter have commented on the news of their split, an unnamed source told PEOPLE magazine that the duo has ended their relationship for now.

As per a report by PEOPLE dated December 3, 2024, the source stated that Barry and Sabrina are career-focused and young, so the two have decided to take a break.


In other news, according to a report by Variety dated November 27, 2024, The Beatles' drummer Ringo Starr shared that Barry Keoghan would play him in the upcoming film series about the British rock band directed by Sam Mendes.
