Nike’s Jordan Brand welcomed the next edition of its cutting-edge basketball shoe, dubbed the Air Jordan 38, to its lineup. The sneaker fraternity has already witnessed various colorways of a high-top style of the newly built model. Now, the brand is also working on its low-top style, and the “Sail/Pink” iteration of the AJ38 Low sneaker recently appeared online.

The newly emerged Air Jordan 38 Low “Sail/Pink” shoe is expected to step into the sneaker market sometime during the coming weeks of 2024, as stated by Sneaker News. Note that the accurate launch date of these sneakers is currently under covers.

These low-tops will be sold by the physical locations as well as the digital platforms of Nike, the SNKRS app, and a bunch of connected sellers. The price tag of these sneakers is anticipated to be around $175 for each pair.

In September, a sneak glance at the low-top Air Jordan 38 surfaced, thanks to the newly signed Jordan Brand athlete, Brandon Ingram.

There is a new and interesting "Sail/Pink" style for the X-Plate attachment design of Air Jordan 38 that follows the same tailored minimal palette. This closely resembles to the original "Fundamental" approach seen in the high-top variant. The detailed look at the colourway was most recently shared by a sneaker insider, @knowing_kicks.

The forefoot, the quarter topping, and the soft tongue flap are all imprinted with a lighter neutral tone independently. The rest of the shoe is adorned in delicate sandy hues all over.

A light rose pink finish, paints the textured embroidery on the mid-foot as well as the heel counter in unison with the shoelaces, creating a striking contrast against the predominant 'Sail' background colour.

In a more lively vein, the underside of the tongue flap, together with the inner lining and tread underneath, are dyed with a hot pink flair.

In contrast, the tongue flap design that takes its inspiration from the Air Jordan 8 and the apparent X-Plate underfoot are struck with a jet-black distinction.

The Swoosh company released a blog post in which they discussed the illustrious history of the sneaker company that bears Michael Jordan's name and how the innovative Air Jordan 38 design was created with the future of basketball at heart.

"The Air Jordan signature series isn’t just the most storied footwear line in basketball history, it’s also the basketball line at the cutting edge of innovation for the next generation of player. The Air Jordan XXXVIII is the next step in that history, introducing a new plate technology drawn from the insights of Michael Jordan’s impeccable footwork.”

It continues as follows:

"Court mobility and creating separation were the focus, harkening back to Jordan’s fadeaway jumper.”

Keep an eye out for the Air Jordan 38 Low “Sail/Pink” rendition that is anticipated to be dropped in the following year. Those absolutely curious to add these shoes to their footwear collection are advised to register on Swoosh's online site or utilize the SNKRS app for timely alerts on their arrival.

In addition to the aforementioned “Sail/Pink” rendition, Swoosh’s Jordan Brand created a “Fundamental” rendition of the low-top Air Jordan 38 silhouette set to be launched in the spring of 2024.

These sneakers will be marked with a fixed price tag of $175 and sold via Nike’s SNKRS app and other authorised Jordan Brand sellers.
