Popeyes is kicking off its New Year offerings with a cuisine that pays homage to the Cajun flavors of Louisiana—the garlic wings. The food chain announced the launch of the Louisiana Garlic Wings on its Instagram page on January 6, 2025.
The company shared that the new wing flavors would be available to order in-store or via the Popeye app on January 7. The restaurant is staying close to its roots with the debut of the Louisiana Garlic wings.
The ginger-flavored wings further the brand's heritage of bridging the gap between Americans and Southern comfort foods like red beans and rice, buttery biscuits, Mac and cheese, and crispy chicken sandwiches.

The Louisiana Garlic Wings are Southern treats dipped in and left to marinate in the restaurant chain's signature spice blend with a garlic-butter sauce. These limited-edition offerings may come in boxes of six, 12, 18, and 24 pieces, like the other tasty wings sold on the brand’s website.
The prices of Popeyes regular chicken wings range from $7.79 for six pieces to $19.99 for a family pack. Thus, one would expect the same for the Garlic Wings.

Foodies in Canada are also getting a special treat from the restaurant chain to commemorate the new year. According to a report by Canada Newswire, Popeyes is launching a $4 Favorites Value Menu exclusive to Canada. The Value Menu offers new items like Blackened Cauliflower and Fried Pickles and classic offerings like five pieces of Nuggets for just $4.

The lineup for the $4 Favorites Value Menu, launched on January 7, 2025, includes:
- Blackened Cauliflower: The recipe is essentially cauliflower florets sprinkled with blackened season and served with buttermilk ranch.
- Fried Pickles: Pickle chips are breaded with buttermilk, deep fried, and served with blackened ranch.
- Mini Chicken Wrap: Marinated all-white meat tenders, hand battered and breaded in buttermilk and served with sliced tomatoes and mayonnaise in a white tortilla.
- Mini Chicken Sandwich: Marinated all-white meat tenders, battered and breaded in buttermilk and served with barrel-cured pickles and mayonnaise on a brioche bun.
- 5 pc Nuggets: Whole breast meat nuggets marinated in the brand’s signature seasoning, hand-battered, breaded, and served fresh.
