Avett Brothers Tour 2024: Dates, tickets, presale, venues and all you need to know

American folk-rock band, the Avett Brothers, have announced a 2024 tour with new dates added in the spring and summer. The tour is scheduled to be held from May 16, 2024, to August 24, 2024 in venues across North America.

On January 12, 2024, the band from North Carolina announced on their official Instagram account the spring and summer tour, which is set to feature shows in cities such as Sacramento, Columbus, Detroit, and more.

General public on-sale begins on January 19, 2024. Presales for fan club members begin January 16, 2024. American Express cardmembers, Live Nation, LN Mobile App, Ticketmaster, and presales for local venues/radio will be announced soon. Tickets for the previously announced shows are now on sale on the band's official website.

The Avett Guild presale starts Tuesday, January 30, at noon local for dates at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and the public on-sale is Friday, February 2, at 10 am local. VIP & Travel Packages will also be available. Ticket prices have yet to be announced.

The Avett Brothers tour will begin in Philadelphia and end in Newport

The Avett Brothers will kick off their tour with a concert at The Mann Center in Philadelphia, scheduled for March 16, 2024. After performing across multiple cities, the band will wrap up their spring and summer tour with a final show in Newport, Kentucky, on August 24, 2024.

Supporting acts like City and Colour, Sierra Ferrell, Vina Robles, Iron & Wine, Little Feat, Dawes, Melissa Etheridge Trampled By Turtles, and Sammy Rae & The Friends will also accompany the band on certain dates of their tour.

The Avett Brothers' music career

Apart from their tour, the band has also been busy with their stage musical Swept Away, based on their music. Set to debut at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre in June 2020, it was postponed due to the pandemic, opening on January 9, 2022. The musical was initially an adaptation of their 2004 album Mignonette but ended up using tracks from their overall catalog.

As their name states, the band comprises two Avett brothers who share lead vocal duties and a bassist, cellist, and drummer. The older brother, Scott Avett, and younger brother, Seth Avett, also play the guitar and piano, among other instruments.

Formed after their rock-and-roll college band Nemo disbanded, the Avett Brothers began writing more acoustic original material together in 2000. Their unique blend of bluegrass, country, and folk with ragtime, honkey tonk, and punk set them apart from other acts in the Americana scene.

With multiple festival dates and headlining shows with supporting acts, fans of the band will have the chance to experience the music of the Avett Brothers in various settings throughout the spring and summer of 2024.
