Born on October 31, 1993, Letitia Michelle Wright is a Guyana-British artist. She is best known for her role as Shuri, the Princess of Wakanda and T'Challa (Black Panther)’s younger sister in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films Black Panther (2018) and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022). Her filmography includes My Brother the Devil (2012), Small Axe, an anthology TV series created by Steve McQueen, and Urban Hymn (2015).

Many praised Wright’s intelligence, wit, and charm while she portrayed Shuri in Black Panther. It is regarded as one of the most successful movies in terms of box office collections, earning over $1.3 billion globally and for a total of seven Oscar nominations, among them Best Picture. Wright’s performance bagged her the SAG award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and also the Bafta Rising Star Award.
