Young, Famous & African returned to screens on May 19, 2023, and featured some old and new faces from the African continent. One of the celebrities that appeared on the show was Bonang Matheba, a South African award-winning television presenter, actress, and social media personality. While her time on the show was short, she certainly made an impression, mostly due to her behavior toward another new cast member, Luis Munana.

In 2016, Luis had invited Bonang to make an appearance at one of his events; however, the star had to fly back because she didn’t have a room. While Luis admits to it being his fault and partly blames the feud between the two on miscommunication, Bonang didn’t buy it. As soon as he left the table, Swanky, Bonang, and Zari poked fun at the former Big Brother Africa cast member.

However, things get heated once Fantana and Luis return to the table, and the conversation turns to Fantana’s relationship with Diamond. While Luis doesn’t want Fantana to be known as Diamond’s “side chick”, Bonang feels that he’s being misogynistic and trying to demean women and tells him not to annoy her.

Fans took to social media to react to the Young, Famous & African season 2 cast member’s behavior and stated that she’s giving off mean girl vibes. They further added that they didn’t understand why she was lashing out at him and called her behavior unnecessary.

How do fans feel about Bonang’s behavior towards Luis in Young, Famous & African season 2 episode 4

In episode 4 of the African reality show, Bonang was seen going off on Luis Munana, with whom she has issues from the past. In 2016, she was supposed to make an appearance at one of his events, but due to some miscommunications, she didn’t have a room and had to fly back.

While Luis admits that the fault is his own and apologizes for the mishap at the event, the television personality does not feel that he’s being sincere and proceeds to badmouth him behind his back.

However, that was not the only point where the two clashed. During the same dinner, Fantana and Luis briefly left the table to have a private conversation, but when they returned, Swanky started a conversation about Diamond, who is currently involved with Fantana. The Young, Famous & Africanseason 2 cast member, Luis, expresses his views about their relationship and tells her that he doesn’t want her to be one of his many flings and to be known for her music instead of her association with Diamond.

Bonang misinterprets the comment and believes that he’s being misogynistic and demeaning towards women. She tells him not to annoy her and proceeds to tell Fantana to do whatever she wants to. While Bonang makes some excellent points, fans believe that her lashing out at Luis was unnecessary. They added that she was out of line, that she owes him a public apology, and that they don’t like her.

They further called the Young, Famous & African cast member a bully and said that she is all over the place. They felt that the social media personality should have stayed out of the discussion about Fantana and Diamond and added that she served nothing but looks during her time on the show.
