What is the plot of the movie?
In this prequel, fans are sent back in time, 64 years before the first Hunger Games took place. The movie is set around 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow, a member of a once-proud family that has fallen from grace in the post-war Capitol. With the 10th annual Hunger Games approaching, Coriolanus is assigned the role of mentoring Lucy Gray Baird, the female tribute from the impoverished District 12.
But Lucy Gray is not an ordinary tribute as she captures the hearts of all of Panem by singing defiantly during the reaping ceremony. Coriolanus sees an opportunity to turn the odds in their favor by combining his showmanship skills with his newfound political savvy. Together, they embark on a race against time to survive, where the line between friend and foe blurs, revealing who is a songbird and who is a snake.
