Leave the World Behind is a psychological thriller written, directed, and produced by Sam Esmail. The movie is an adaptation of the novel, going by the same name, published in 2020 and was written by Rumaan Alam. The story basically revolves around a middle-aged white couple who along with their two children plan a vacation at a luxurious, secluded Airbnb. While all is going well, the family suddenly finds black owners of the home at the doorstep with a story of a mysterious event that killed the power across the East Coast.
