At the beginning of the series, Faraday is a middleman between Maine and Militech. As the show progresses, David is offered the same deal as Maine when he takes over the crew after Maine’s death. But soon after, Arasaka's executives approached Faraday and made him a seemingly better offer.
They wanted everyone with the knowledge of the cyberskeleton to be killed. They also wanted the netrunner who keeps hacking their servers, Lucy. The Arasaka executives offer Faraday one million to bring Lucy, and half a million if he just brings her head.
Faraday persuades Kiwi to deceive her squad and work with him. They succeed in capturing Lucy alive, but killing David and the rest of the team turned out to be a mishap, particularly after David utilizes the cyberskeleton armor. Faraday dies during the events of Adam Smasher and David’s fight at the Arasaka Tower.
