The Hollywood Wax Museum in Tennessee revealed rapper Lil Wayne's wax figure in the summer of 2022. However, the figure unexpectedly went viral this week, especially after the reveal of Dwayne Johnson's wax figure earlier his month. This prompted Lil Wayne himself to acknowledge the rather humorous wax figure. The rapper said in a tweet:

"Sorry wax museum but dat sh*t ain’t me! You tried tho and I appreciate the effort."

Wayne's response only added to the virality of the figure with users overflooding social media platforms with a plethora of funny memes. A running joke among users was how they made Lil Wayne way more "Lil" than he actually was.

The 41-year-old's wax figure featured his iconic tattoo-covered body in full display with his arms outstretched clutching a polka dot shirt. The figure also featured a rather stoic and uncanny smile, with Wayne's teeth all shown. However, it completely dropped the ball when it came to the proportion of the rapper's body which looked unnaturally tiny among the surroundings.

Lil Wayne's wax figure was released last year by Pigeon Forge, Tennessee's Hollywood Wax Museum. However, it has now attained renewed interest after a TikTok video from 2022 went viral again, especially after the reveal of Dwayne Johnson's statue at the Grévin Museum in Paris.

Netizens say Lil Wayne's wax figure did him dirty

Lil Wayne's wax figure left netizens roaring with laughter. People simply could not stop talking about the inaccurate size of the rather unfairly small figure and even started comparing him to action figures and toys. Users were adamant about how they did Wayne dirty and others flat-out denied that the statue even was the rapper. Here are some reactions to Lil Wayne's tweet:

The Dwayne Johnson wax statue debacle

Paris' Grévin Museum revealed a wax figure of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on October 16, 2023, only for it to be roasted to bits online. One look at the figure sent netizens into a frenzy as everybody was confused as to why Dwayne Johnson was white.

Comedian, James Andre Jefferson Jr took to Instagram to troll the wax figure to oblivion. In a reel posted on October 21, 2023, the comedian said that they had "turned The Rock into a pebble."

"Did ya'll even google him with your dumba*s," the comedian added.

He roasted the artist behind the picture by saying that he did not even want him on "Sims" building characters. He added that they made The Rock look like David Beckham, and like he was about to be part of the royal family. The comedian humorously said that he would Uno reverse the little mermaid for getting Dwayne Johnson back.

Dwayne Johnson himself took to Instagram and re-posted the comedian's video.

"For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at “updating” my wax figure here with some important details and improvements- starting with my skin color," The Rock said.

He further stated that he would like to have a drink with himself the next time he was in Paris. The museum sent a statement to Deadline agreeing with Dwayne Johnson and revealing that they were working on a remedy and would send him pictures as soon as it was complete.
