In a recent interview with Page Six, Baywatch star David Charvet opened up about leaving his career in Hollywood. The former actor, who played Matt Brody on the show, said he departed the entertainment industry to be the "father I wanted to be."
Charvet, who has two children, daughter Heaven (15) and son Shaya (14) with his former wife Brooke Burke, told the publication how parenthood changed him. He added,
"Before I had my first child, I was traveling for five years in 42 countries doing concerts for my music. There's no way I could do that again. I had to find a different meaning to my life."
After his farewell from Hollywood, the 49-year-old French singer and retired actor accidentally found an alternate career path. Charvet is now the developer of high-end homes in the Los Angeles area.
Charvet reportedly found passion while taking over the contractor's work. At the time, he did not like his contractor's approach regarding his Malibu house.
