"Deep clean isn't a euphemism for anything" — Internet reacts to cleaning influencer being accused by neighbor of having an affair with her husband

TikTok influencer and owner of UK-based The Clean Up Company, Libby recently posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) on August 14, 2024. The video showcased that she was approached by a woman while filming one of her cleaning videos. What makes this particular cleaning video different is that the woman accused Libby of having an affair with her husband.

In the video, the influencer did not show the face of the woman but one can hear her questioning why Libby was in her house and why her number was in her husband's phone. Additionally, the woman went on to say multiple things to Libby and mentioned that her defense of "deep cleaning" the space meant something else.

While Libby took the woman's words jokingly and her laughter probably made it worse for the woman who kept reacting to her, the internet garnered a strong reaction to the video uploaded by the cleaning influencer. Taking to X, internet users expressed their opinion on the same wherein one of the fans emphasized the woman's comment and clarified:

"That's crazy. I also clean and I'm pretty sure deep clean isn't a euphemism for anything. Or maybe I've been missing out."

After the owner of The Clean Up Company posted the video showcasing her reaction when the woman approached her and accused her of infidelity with her husband, Libby posted a video describing the incident on August 14, 2024.

In the video, Libby mentioned that she had an update for everyone asking if the incident was real. Calling it "absolutely real", Libby stated that she was in the middle of filming a deep clean video, and the woman "flew around the corner like a raving storm".

The influencer mentioned:

"I couldn't stop laughing because I was in shock. I was like you can't be serious"

Toward the end of her video, Libby mentioned that the woman did leave and she didn't need to call the police.
