Eilish has been vocal about her suffering from this condition as she first shared this news with her fans on Instagram in 2018. During her appearance on David Letterman’s Netflix series, "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” the singer spoke about her condition and his experience suffering from it.

During the interview, when Letterman was asking Billie Eilish some questions, the singer seemed to look away from him. Eilish then cleared it up that she was having her tics at the moment which was causing her to look away involuntarily. Explaining her condition, Eilish said, "The most common way that people react is they laugh because they think I'm trying to be funny. And so they go, 'Ha.” She also added, "I'm always left incredibly offended by that."

The Lovely singer revealed that she was diagnosed with the condition at the age of 11 and as a kid, she used to repeatedly squeeze her eyes shut or open her mouth wide, as tics.

The singer also revealed that although her tics are now somewhat unnoticeable if someone recorded her for a long time, they would be able to see the tics happening often. Eilish said, “ "If you film me for long enough, you're going to see a lot of tics."

The kind of tics Eilish suffers currently include wiggling her ears back and forth, raising her eyebrows, clicking her jaw, and flexing her arms. Speaking about them, Billie said, "These are things you would never notice if you're having a conversation with me, but for me, they're very exhausting."

The singer concluded her talk on her condition by saying that her tics subside while she is either performing, riding a horse, or focused while doing something.
