David Arquette is an American actor, producer, screenwriter, film director, fashion designer, and retired professional wrestler.

He was born on 8 September 1971 in Bentonville, Virginia. He is a member of the Arquette acting family and rose to fame in the middle of the 1990s after appearing in several Hollywood productions, including the Scream movie, Wild Bill, Never Been Kissed, See Spot Run, Eight Legged Freaks, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Since then, he has played various television characters, including Jason Ventress on ABC's In Case of Emergency.

In addition, Arquette executive produced the game show Celebrity Name Game, for which he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award, and provided the voice of Skully in the Disney Channel animated series Jake and the Never Land Pirates.

Early in 2000, Arquette, who also pursued a career in acting, made a brief venture into professional wrestling by participating in World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Arquette won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship once while he was in charge (mostly to promote his impending movie Ready to Rumble), which has been credited by wrestling commentators as being a key factor in the title's decline and the dissolution of WCW.

David Arquette married Courteney Cox in 1999. The funny opening theme in "The One After Vegas," in which they all gave their last names an Arquette addition, was inspired by David Arquette's marriage to Courteney. But in 2013, they got divorced, and Arquette wed Christina McLarty in 2015.
