No, Frenchie does not die in The Boys season 3.
The Boys season 3 has been the most intense season of them all. Although the first season of the show came as a shocker to many considering the gore, the storyline, and the drama, Eric Kripke has upped the ante and done justice to the comic book written by Garth Ennis.
Warning: Spoilers Ahead.
The season 3 finale ends with Soldier Boy being captured by Billy Butcher and the gang after an intense fight between them and Soldier Boy’s son Homelander. Queen Maeve faked her death and went into hiding after losing her powers following the showdown. It looks like the end of season 3 was the beginning of something much more sinister. Fans of the show now await to see their favorite supes and Butcher’s gang returning for yet another drama-filled season.
Who is Frenchie?
Serge aka Frenchie is one of the main characters of The Boys. Frenchie was first seen making his appearance in season one of the show when Billy Butcher (played by Karl Urban) was seen forming a team (later known as The Boys) to take his revenge against Homelander and the other supes.
The character was introduced to be a drug-dabbling assassin and gunrunning jack-of-all-trades whose skill set was what lured Billy Butcher to team up with him once again to join The Boys. For the unversed, Frenchie was initially part of The Boys, a group formed by Grace Mallory which consisted of Billy Butcher and M.M. (Mother’s Milk).
After a rough childhood with his father and much rougher adulthood, Frenchie was arrested by the authorities for trying to loot a bank with his close friends Cherie and Jay. However, Grace Mallory, the Deputy Director of the CIA and the founder of The Boys, found Frenchie’s skill set to be an advantage. She gave him the choice to either rot in jail or join The Boys, a secret group formed to go against the supes, and be a free man. Frenchie chooses to join the group and after making a great bond with Billy and MM, the character ends up messing up one of the missions which results in Mallory’s grandchildren being killed by a super.
The mishap led to the group disbanding and started a cold war between Frenchie and MM. Years later, Billy Butcher offers Frenchie another chance to join The Boys, after he and Hughie kidnap a super named Translucent. After much reluctance, Frenchie rejoins the group, and that marks the start of an epic yet tumultuous journey between The Boys and Homelander.
Is Frenchie injured in The Boys season 3?
Yes, Frenchie was shot in the leg during the final battle between The Boys, Homelander, and Soldier Boy. Speaking about who shot him, Kimiko also known as The Female, who is his love interest and a member of The Boys, accidentally shoots Frenchie in the leg. Frenchie fans need not worry as the injury wasn’t serious and Frenchie was fine by the end.
