More about Electric Picnic Festival
Electric Picnic began as a one-day event in 2004, before slowly growing into the three-day event it currently is. The festival was founded by Robbie Butler & John Reynolds and dedicates itself to providing an eco-friendly relaxed live music experience.
The Festival has been the host of a number of notable organizations, including Amnesty International, which celebrated the 60-year anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at the festival. The festival was also host to Burning Man artist, David Best, who constructed a Temple of Truth on the festival site.
In 2009, the festival changed management, with Pod Concerts and Festival Republic buying the majority shares. The festival won the Best Medium-Sized European Festival at the 2010 European Festival Awards.
