Elsa Majimbo is trending online after a video of her went viral on different platforms. The clip featured her expressing dissatisfaction with the African practice of sending money back to one's relatives. The comedian is popular for her monologue videos and her net worth stands at $500,000, according to Forbes magazine.
Majimbo's video, which was originally posted on her TikTok page, and she started by saying:
"Sending money back home to your extended family is such a common African practice that I absolutely hate. I saw my dad doing it and I don't even know any of my extended family."
Elsa Majimbo recalled how her father sent money to his brothers, sisters, and other family members. She said that the family expects a person to send money as long as the individual is employed somewhere. She added that she wouldn't like to participate in this practice and continued:
"How do you come and tell me all my kids are starving? Yeah, they are starving because you are f*cking lazy. Get off you're a*s, get a job, and feed your kids."
She referred to one of her family members who asked her father for money and said:
"You have been asking my dad for money since before I was born. I was born, I was raised, I grew up. Now you are asking me for money. You lazy son of a b*tch. I am not feeding your habits. Clearly, you are too lazy to be alive. I would let you starve."

The Nairobi native managed to build a huge fanbase on social media since 2020 due to her flawless work in comedy videos. She began posting clips during the Covid-19 pandemic and she told Nation Magazine the same year that her art has been praised by South Africans. She revealed how she creates videos by saying:
"The ideas usually come to me through random thoughts. Nothing too deep, haha! My parents watch some of the videos, but they don't find me hilarious, just entertaining."
Elsa Majimbo enrolled at Strathmore University where she obtained her degree in journalism. She then posted her first video on social media during the pandemic, saying that she was still in touch with everyone. She told Forbes magazine in 2022 that she had faith that she would become successful.
