Barrett Foa did not appear in NCIS: Los Angeles series finale due to his conflicting schedule

NCIS: Los Angeles showrunner R. Scott Gemmill was recently interviewed by TV Line and shed light on the actor's absence from the series finale. He revealed that Barrett Foa did not show up for the series finale due to his conflicting schedule. The actor simply couldn't find the time to be a part of the show's final episode.

R. Scott Gemmill said:

"That was about availability, and what we could do and what we couldn't do. If I’d had the time and the money, I would have probably had everybody who had ever been on the show. We couldn’t do everything we wanted to, unfortunately."

Barrett Foa also spoke to TV Line and mentioned that he regretted not being able to play Eric Beale for one last time. He was grateful to the network and fans and was glad that the show received a fitting conclusion.

Barrett Foa said:

"Getting to play Eric Beale one last time would have been a dream, so I was bummed when it didn’t work out. I’m grateful he got a shout-out and that he’s out there making the world a better place. How cool that CBS gave the show a chance to give our fans a proper series finale."

Along with being an actor, Barrett Foa is also a baritone singer, dancer, and Broadway veteran. His best-known Broadway performances are in Mamma Mia! and Avenue Q where he played Princeton and Rod, respectively.
