Amidst news of Diddy's arrest, there have been several stories, posts, and tweets circulating about the rapper. On September 19, 2024, an Instagram account @lilaclvnv posted a video showcasing an interaction between Donald Trump and the Last Night rapper talking about getting in trouble.

The video was captioned "Just two 🤡🤡discussing how to get away with crimes" and it features Diddy saying that people used to say he was a violent character just because he broke people's jaws and arms. The rapper said that he is a passionate young man and he made a mistake. In the video, Trump replies to the rapper saying:

"Well, everybody's going to get in trouble. It's a question of how you get out of trouble."

Trump tells the rapper that he has done things but he isn't in any trouble and that he continues to make money. Responding to Trump in the video, the Coming Home rapper states:

"Well, you're making the same mistakes that I am...you may just be able to hide yours a little bit better."

However, as per USA Today, the video in question is altered and is made using two separate interviews spliced together digitally and both videos are over two decades older than Diddy's recent arrest on September 16, 2024.

While Trump's clip is from his interview with Charlie Rose in 1992, the rapper's clip is from a 1999 interview with Charlie Rose wherein he talked about the media's portrayal of him and prior indulgence in violence.

According to the publication, the altered video was first shared on YouTube on August 27, 2024, by The Talk with its disclaimer stating:

"THE TALK: Conversations that never took place between people who never met. Created using existing interviews."

"White men like Trump need to be banished"- Diddy on the former president Donald Trump

There have been multiple instances of Diddy and Trump being photographed together at events in addition to which the two have commented on one another as well. As per Page Six's report in May 2024, Donald Trump was one of the A-listers who featured in an invitation video for the I Need A Girl rapper's 29th birthday party in 1998. In a video, the former president was seen calling the rapper "the legendary Puff Daddy".

On the other hand, in an interview with The Washington Post in October 2015, the rapper commented on his equation with Donald Trump and stated:

"Donald Trump is a friend of mine, and he works very hard."

However, in June 2017 the rapper changed his stance on Trump as president and told The Daily Beast that he doesn't "give a f*ck" about Trump given black people are in the same position. And by 2020, Diddy had changed his stance on Trump entirely and instead endorsed Joe Biden for president.

In an interview with Charlamagne Tha God in October 2020, the rapper commented on Trump and mentioned:

"White men like Trump need to be banished. That way of thinking is real dangerous. When you look at it, we don't have no choice. Say what you want about Biden, I can't say I love the pick either. But we've got to get him in office, and then we've got to hold him accountable."

Despite Trump socializing with the Finna Get Loose rapper over the years, the former president has not commented on Diddy's indictment or charges yet. Currently, the rapper is charged with three counts of s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
